Our flock of 60+ sheep and lambs roam free on 50 acres of naturally fertilized pasture in the Connecticut River Valley, on USDA-rated Prime Farmland Soil.
We raise Corriedale, Lincoln Longwool, and Romney crosses. We have lots of very good raw fleeces, cleaned of vegetable matter and tags, many of handspinner quality. Each fleece is bagged separately and available to scour and make yarn, roving, felted items etc. Customers have used our raw fleece to create wool-filled mattresses and pillows, and to insulate beehives.
We participate in the Connecticut Blanket Project, producing beautiful heirloom wool blankets. Current designs include a solid grey color with three light stripes, and a buffalo split-plaid design of natural undyed white and dark wool.
Our stunning sheepskins are treasured by all of our customers. From short and uniform to long and fluffy…in all different sizes and colors ranging from white to brown to charcoal and wonderful mixed colors. A luxurious design element as a rug or wall-hanging, super-cozy as a throw on a chair or bed, car seat cover, or pet bed. Sheepskins convey wool’s both cooling and warming properties, and babies love them for their magical calming effect. Our sheepskins have helped some customers ease pain from rheumatoid arthritis. Great for wheelchairs, long-haul trucking, your work-from-home chair.
Our unique and charming Sheep Calendars are really wall art featuring 12 months of our sheep and lambs in action on the farm, with interesting dates in history on each day of the year.
We now have wool pellets available. 40% water retention saves on watering frequency, and the nutrients from wool pellets provide fertilizer to gardens or houseplants.
